Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Timeless Dialogue iOS application. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Timeless Dialogue lets you converse with AI-generated personas inspired by historical figures. Responses are produced by a third-party large language model and are not the actual words, opinions, or endorsements of any real person, living or deceased. Treat every reply as a creative interpretation, not as historical fact, professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.), or personal counsel.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 4 years old (the app's content rating). If you are a minor, you should use the app under the guidance of a parent or guardian.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to generate content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to bypass the daily free message limit, reverse-engineer the backend, or abuse the service in a way that imposes unreasonable load.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated responses without independent verification.
4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
- Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions remove the daily free message limit. Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. See reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Apple Standard EULA
Use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and the EULA on a matter Apple requires the EULA to govern, the EULA controls.
6. Intellectual Property
The app, its design, code, and original content are owned by Xuchen Sun. AI-generated responses are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use. Names of historical figures are used in their commonly known public form for reference and do not imply endorsement.
7. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated. Do not rely on them for decisions that require professional expertise.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the app. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app or the backend service if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
